What are the ongoing costs of a holiday lodge?

The ongoing costs of running a holiday lodge are no different to those of running any other holiday home, with the small addition of site fees.

In most cases your site fees cover:

  • Ground rent for your holiday home.
  • Your waste water – management and disposal.
  • Your holiday home domestic waste and recycling.
  • Your supply of drinking water.
  • Ground Maintenance including: grass cutting, road maintenance, street lighting & maintaining communal areas like play parks, woodland and any facilities complex.
  • A warden if the site has one.

 

You need to pay for:

  • Your gas and electric supply from the meter to your holiday home. (Just like at home).
  • Annual Gas Safety Certificate, and any appliance servicing needed.
  • 3yr Electrical Safety Certificate.
  • Your holiday home insurance.
  • Any maintenance needed to your holiday home to keep it up to habitable standards.
  • Any work you request the holiday park to undertake i.e. Winterisation.
  • Internet Connection for your holiday home. (If required)
