Follow the coast north from Cockerham Sands and within a mile or so you’ll come across the Cockersand Abbey ruins, a great adventure for the whole family.
Glasson Dock, shops and cafes are a short drive, on a lovely summers days amble along the coastal footpath. It’s a moderate walk to Glasson Dock, around 3 miles.

Salt Ayre Leisure Centre is the largest sports and leisure centre in the Lancaster district and just 20 minutes from Cockerham Sands.
Morecambe Bay is a stunning bay just 20 minutes from Cockerham Sands. Well worth a day out and hugely understated.
